Rolling on in 6th may be a different kettle of fish, and top speed, but everything else I agree Fastest thing you could buy for 10k!

The Ducati 1098R may be faster in some instances than the s1000rr, as it weighs about 30kgs less and has about 25lb/f more, but s1000rr has 30bhp more.

The s1000rr has been proven to smash it all ends up. Even coming out of corners where twins normally have the upper hand. The BMW has set the bench mark in which all other superbikes will now be tested on! Just bought this months bike where they have it against the new Ninja
