my staircase is very steep and dark with no window up at the landing

im in the middle of decorating and was thinking about small lights coming in from either side of the step maybe every 3rd or 4th step (white light) i have a cuboard under the stairs so easy access to run wires

anyone done this similar to the lights in the kickboards you get for kitches but going across the step

any links to decent bulbs and holders

Sounds quite a cool idea.

Decking lights would be your best bet as they are robust etc but are about £30 each!

A set of LED GU10s would a good alternative as they wouldnt hot near your feel (Standard GU10 gets rediculously hot)

I reckon it woudl be easy to fit the lights providing you have enough clearance behind the wall/skirting

Christ, just shy of £120 for a few LEDs and that doesn't even include the transformer
