ive had a problem with my car since i got it where the passanger side rear wheel makes a humming noise and its gets louder and louder as you go faster i got told was wheel bearings so i bought a wheel bearing kit and the noise went away for about a mile then came back

does anyone know what this problem could be?

Badly fitted bearing, not enough grease in it

when you tighten it up.. dont go FT, just untill its against the bearing, then nip it up. doesnt need to be mega tight as the split pin holds the nut in place

as above mate ^

my fethers just had problems with his 1.4 8v Citroen xzara. had a new gear box, b.new clutch kit, c.v boot and both front wheel bearings and has the same problems at the front. gearbox was out a 306 but we're sure they the same though.

let me know if you find out what it is, deffo sounds like bearings in to tight or something along the lines of that

they wernt tight tho i done edzactly what u said and got it till it touched then nipped it a little bit and i used 1 and a half packets of grease on the bearings

shoes not rubbing on the inside of the drums? or drums warped?

could it be a bent stub axle??
that question is for more the experianced person

see what the drum looks like the drum might havent been run on the metal with old shoes

fitted one to mine last week. just thought i remebered posting in here. Did you pack the rollers with grease? i know you said you used 1 and a half packets but you need to make sure its really stuffed right into the rollers and the race's need to be all the way home. couldve burnt out

had a brand new bearing again today put stupid amounts of it on and no different im ruleing out wheel bearings now
