Lee, I've got a 9 pin plug all wired up inside the car though, hold on I'll get a picture of that

I'd love to know, we think a GTE, engine is an 89 engine.

thats what i thought it would be. that plug has the wires for fuel pump, ign live perm live, diagnostics etc where did u get all them wires from in the loom to wire to the 9 pin plug

It seems that plug is already wired lee, it's all a bit weird,
That plug has none of the wire colours mentioned in the guide, on that plug we have:
Red/Blue
Brown/Blue
Brown/Green
Another Brown/Blue
Red/White
Red/Yellow
Brown/Red
None are much thicker than the others or anything... I'm very confused by this!
The loom has obviously been butchered by some idiot before we got our hands on it, we're just trying to sort it out!

ignore my last posts. that last pic is the gte loom. that loom you have is a later astra gsi style i think. has that loom got the plugs for dizzy etc

Yes, it has a 3 pin plug for the dizzy and one for coil etc

my corsa had a similar plug to your 1st picture that connected the starter motor circuit etc together to the in car loom iirc

yea starter motor one is similar but wouldnt be on engine loom thou, this is more like the aircon ones etc that are usually inside the car. so i would just leave it disconnected

that wont be a gte loom on a gte the multiplug is in the engine bay
