Personally I'd go for the Gallardo, so much fun to drive. And the track, I went to Pretswold - leicestershire, but the bloke told me if you go south Leicstershire (forget what theactual palce is called, then you can get the full potential of the Lambo.

most if not all the drivers where i went were current/ex race car drivers.

tom onslow-cole was an instructor on the day i was there as was tiff neddle.

I would love to try one of these, but due to my nerves i would probably forget how to drive as soon as someone was watching me.

I did one recently at Elvington. Drove about 10 cars, 360CS,911turbo,R8,DBS,Murcielago etc and finished in an Atom. Gotta say I liked the R8 and 911 best which surprised me as I've never been much of a Porsche fan and I've driven an R8 a fair few times.
As far as the experience itself though I found it varied depending on the instructor, some just wanted you to be smooth and steady whereas other (better) ones were encouraging you to really push the car and get faster each lap, guess it's just luck of the draw.
