Not replacing the corsa, the mrs is off for 9mth now as bairn is due in a few weeks, she will need the 307 to get around in, which i hadnt thought about

Then i suggested her getting up at 6am to take me to work & come pick me up, but that didnt go down too well either.

Browsing ebay, found this local-ish, not many bids & ending soon, always fancied one so i chucked a bid in & won it, quite suprised as i thought it would have went for more than £570

1991, imported in 1998, 4 owners since then, current since 03, file full of paperwork inc engine rebuild in 04 and pretty much everything else he has bought is in there too!

Going to get it mot'd throught the week, not due til july but i want it checked over.

Chuffed to bits anyways

Aye its got rev3 lights, wheels & spoiler i think. Also crystal fronts, sebring exhaust, koni suspension & air filter. its a n/a, dont think you would get much of a turbo for sub 600quid!

Aye, Kris picked the car up last weekend, seems to be putting it to good use.

For the money this is bang on for getting me to & from work each day

They're not the easiest of cars to have fun with
The back end slides out really quickly if you're not experienced.

snap oversteer for sure, Not bad motors though.

Keep an eye out for rust if its a import though, They don't have the same rust protection as UK models.

Have heard they can be a bit unpredictable when pushing, but its just to get me to work and back, wont be pushing it too hard.

Need to get it up onto the ramps to check it over, just been through the file, since he got it in 2004, he has spent £5138.92 on parts & labour

Bit tricky getting it onto the drive, but will be getting some ramps soon.

Overall, happy with it, i know it needs a few jobs doing, think the front drivers side top mount needs changed, needs a service or a tune as its been sitting on his drive since sept & its a bit missy on startup.

Looks canny that one, front end looks nice.

The ambers on the front, are they just reflectors or lights? Can you change them for clear or smoked ones??

Found a few more bits i need to do with the car, the speedo is stupidly out, dash reads 60, gps on phone reads 68 Suprised the bloke didnt get done for speeding all the time! Volt meter isnt working either, might just swap the clocks for uk ones if they are same fitment?

Also finding it tricky starting from cold :/

but still loving it

Yeah it was quite a nice car, VERY loud though! and he was in his late 30's! could hear it a mile away... not sure what system he had on it though.
Honestly could'nt tell ya about the ambers. But if they are just reflectors then i would get rid and get some smoked ones if you can.

The Rev3 spoiler is 1 piece which is just on the boot. They changed the wing again for the rev 5.

tbh they are pretty good cars, alternators are a bitch to change though

Altenator is brand new, though i can see there is oil / gunk leaking onto it, which will obviously cause problems. Think its rocker gasket, which looks like a right bitch to do!
