I know a few of you guys have motor trade insurance so...
who do you guys recommend for Motor trader insurance? I am opening a used car sales lot and need to sort motor trade insurance for myself and partner. Both are 23 years of age and have been driving for over 5 years.
No cars will be worth more than 5k

Every insurance company will be different and alot wont cover due to age. Just gota ring about but you be paying a few grand.

i know i can use google. but its just like normal car insurance, some people may have had issues with claims being paid out etc and worth avoiding etc.
Thats all i was asking for

My brocker is Simply insurance who insure me through TRADEX insurance. Im 23 and strugled to find a traders for my age apart from the above.

I'm with MMA Insurance through a local broker. You will really struggle to get a decent policy being under 25 mate. If you do get one, it'll be a super basic plan with very low payout estimates etc. And you'll pay through the nose for your premium

I just paid £1983 at 23 with 3 ncb
modifided cars and limit 10k
with TradeX i think....but different broker same company quoted me £4400 and wouldnt insure me on modified cars

do you need proof of accounts etc to get a trade policy? I'm a carpenter by trade but I've been tempted to sort out a traders policy as I've been getting involved in buying and selling cars with my dad but im unsure if I'd get it as I'm 21? any ideas? also if I were to be a named driver on my dads trade policy would that mean i could drive anything or only what he owns, or has insured me to drive? would i not build up no claims that way tho? or would i have to get intouch with the insurer to get all that info. cheers

you can get it at 21, i looked into it a couple of years ago but its feckin pricey

Couple of months properly now mate.
Been doing it on the side for about a year though.
no more mobiles mate, was time for a change. need update my profile lol <<
get some quotes kev, it depends on your postcode massively aswell.
will be about 2500-3000 at 21, thats why i didnt bother at the time

You stil got the LET Astra or you sold that too? If I remember rightly you we're buying your old Corsa GSI back?

no toys for me at the minute mate, got a few other cars at the minute though.
I 'was' buying my old gsi back but the lad was being a cock so i didnt bother. was too much hassle. I bought a corsa sport but then had enough with my work and thought sell the corsa and make a go selling cars fulltime.
Missus due in 4 weeks time so will be alot more flexible with baby on route
