hi everyone been having trouble with my corsa for a while now, basically its x16xe and its running like a dog, really slow and only revs to 5.5k, thought it was the airfilter at first so got a standard airbox, no change, then thought it was the ecu, swapped it with a mates and still ran the same, im really baffelled to what the problem could be because there is no eml light on at all, its mated to a 1.4 sport box was wondering if it could be this but if anythin that would make it accelerate faster wouldnt it? any suggestions would be great because im at my witts end with this car now

No cracks in the MAP pipe.
Does the EML come on when you first switch it on?

no theres no cracks or anything in the MAP pipe just been out and checked, the eml comes on when the ignition is on but goes out straight away as soon as you start the engine, also if you floor it in neutral it revs up to 6 them falls back down to 5.5k

i had a similar problem on my sport , it wouldnt rev past about 5500, it was a sprocket or sumit on the timing, mine made a noise when i put my foot down like as if there was an airfilter on it but it had the standard airbox not drilled either, duno if yours is doing the same?
