I have a red electric mirror and a silver manual mirror.
I want to put the silver casing on the electric mirror so then I will have a silver electric mirror.
Can they be changed?

I'll give it a try tomorrow, do they just pull off or is there screws or similar holding them on?

No it's clipped on the bit which is normally between the mirror and the base.
Needs something thin and wide like a paint scraper sliding in there and the cap will pop off.
I've got some pics, will upload now.
