Any decent garage who changes wheels will not even touch the rim of an alloy when changing a tyre. as for the paint thickness, no reason why mike wont have put the same amount of paint on as a bodyshop would have done via a gun tbh



If Its aerosol laquer it covers very differently to gun laquer.
It shouldn't matter though.
What colour did you use looks very very similar to the colour on my vxr!! Very nice colour really suits black

How has your tyre worn like that

Also needs a few more coats of lacquer to offer protection if you dont want them chipping straight away. Glossy finish looks better too but will never be the finish you'll get from a gun, I used a whole can of lacquer once on some interior bits and they didn't look anywhere near as good as when I had them done properly.

camber will the be reason the inside of the tyre has worn away.

same thing happened on my st after i lowered it. took 3 weeks to ruin a nearly new conti.

Are you talking about the tyre in the 1st picture? I dont know what has happened there tbh, but the tyres havent worn as it appears lol.

Yes, it appears to have worn just over the centre but not on the edge. Maybe its just the picture.

Thats what I was thinking over inflated then the camber has caused it to wear off centre.

Totally off topic, just never seen a tyre wear like that before.
