I've got one of those normal push scooters that kids usually have and want to make it powered so I can get around the race paddock quickly.

Any ideas how to attach a motor/engine?

basically an engine with a output shaft the relies on contact with the wheel and hence movement

Im leaning towards making an electric one, as it will be silent, so could be used at all times then.

Stick a mini moto engine in it? If you can find a Blata Elite 4.2 engine cheaply, you'll have a teeny 39cc motor that produces 7+bhp. More than enough

My mate races in the MR2 Championship, and our area to pit in always seems to be furthest away from anything!

I used to do mini moto. My godparent who i went with had a 125cc 14.4bhp engined one, it was scary fast. I done one lap on it and went back into the pits, my 6bhp was more than enough
