Got a car off a mate said he sent the logbook off but still not got a new 1, been about 2 months and forgot about it, tried looking on the dvla but cant find anything about getting a new one if i have the green slip. do i still have to pay or not? becuase i have the green slip?

No, just say log book never received, was free IIRC
