i have all the things i want for exterior of my car now, so i think its time to save for an engine, wot engine to get though? any ideas

1.6 16v is good. As is 1.8.
2.0 is easier and cheaper than it use to be though

how much for 2.0 all together i know someone to fit it cheap like are the 2.0 8v more reliable?

2.0 8v would do rightly bulletproof too.

are redtops reliable or are they a bit dodgy? dont know much about them thats all

'Redtops' are very reliable if looked after and regularly serviced, as per any engine really.

The 2.0 8v doesn't compare in terms of performance imo, you would be better off with a 1600 16v and a powerbox.

Or the 2.0 ecotec engine from likes of calibra/vectra etc will go in easy enough are 140hp. Don't listen to the haters calling 'ecowreck' there good engines and have plenty of poke to them.
