Hmm - Been needing a new laptop for many many years and quite impressed with the Macbook air. I held off buying an iPad 2 as it wansn't quite good enough jump up from my wifes iPad. So - what serious alternatives are there that match

Similar form factor

~£1250 with Discount via work.

Either Windows or OS X (Obviously Air is only 'legal' OSX option)

If I've got £1200 quid to spare any time soon I'm getting an air and sticking windows 3.1 on it. Nice bits of kit.

I'll plug in an external 5.25" floppy via thunderbolt.
