Hi,

I started playing Golf with a cheap starter set back when I was 11/12 but have not played for over 10 years but am wanting to get back into it.

I am quite a natural when it comes to sport so hope to progress quite quickly but am definitely only a beginner at this stage.

Im trying to decide which set to go for to start me off and am quite interested in the Wilson clubs. They seem to be well priced and aimed at my level of golfer.

These are the 3 sets I have narrowed my search down to:

Considering the different prices, I assume the Deep Reds are the best but which out of the 3 would you go for a what are the pros and cons of each? Why is there over £150 difference between the 3 when they all seem to be similarly spec'd?

Personally if you expecting to improve quickly I'd maybe look at a better quality set of second hand irons, mate of mine just picked up an immaculate set of Mizuno MX25's on eBay for £180 and a Callaway FT 5 Driver and 5 Wood for £100 added in a couple of wedges, a putter and a carry bag and you're sorted!

You could buy any of them. The fat shafts are very forgiving clubs and don't cost the earth.

Unfortunately golf isn't a game you can just buy clubs and get on with it. It's a frustrating game and even if you don't hit it well to begin with, just stick at it. It's worth it

I played when i was younger but lost interest and only picked it up again 2 years ago after 8 years of nothing, best thing I ever did.

Exactly same as me mate!

Im also looking for a new set of clubs, something that will last and i can progress with.
American Golf have some good deals

I would get yourself a decent set of 2nd hand clubs as suggested bud. Go round your local golf courses and see what rich fowk have traded in to the pro shop! Can usually negotiate on the price too.

Or try irons at a range and try find them on the internet
