Hi all,
Im looking at getting myself a corsa b sport pref 1.6 but id be more than happy with the 1.4. I am just curious about mileage. Whats too much on a sport? Best looking at one below 100k or is more ok? I suppose it will be all down to how its been looked after at the end of the day but just wondering what you guys thought on the matter.
Obviously the lower the better, just wondering how they stand up to the miles...

Depends on the car, lots will have had engine changes anyway. Just give it a little rev from cold and watch for smoke, make sure the tickover is steady and not too high and look in the previous MOTs to make sure the emissions are OK and the reports are genuine.

I got my 1.4 with 83000 on the clock now has 97000 and still pulls well lady owner before me just going on motorways... But if my engines goes il prob drop an XE in it tbh

mine had 107k on the clocks wich were out of a tigra, but apparently about 60-80k on the 3rd engine wich was out of a astra. runs spot on though, mileage is just numbers on the dash imo, alsong as the engines good. was also a good arguing point when the mileage on the mot's went down hence a low price for a v reg sport with loads of test

the one im selling is on 98k and it runs 100 times better than the one i had on 38k
since i started servicing my own cars they have never gone wrong - touch wood!

Im in essex sadly mate. Got to sell my celica first too. 
Another quick question, is it only the sports that have the XE engine in?

if you mean the 12xe, 14xe, 16xe then no, gsi had an older version of the 16xe, and theres other specs with the 14xe and many specs including the sxi that had 12xe
none came with 20xe's as standard

Thanks jed, i knew the 20xe were transplants but wasnt sure if only the sports came with the 14xe/16xe.
What models would i find the 14xe in? And
Whats the main difference between other models and the sport?

my x14xe had done 120k and had been to the ring on it aswell. Run perfect untill a friend put in in first gear at 50 mph

my x14xe has done just shy of 78k and it runs fine just give it a service regularly n itl run like a dream unless u drop inti 1st at 50 probly need a new one after tht lol
