hello
i need to do the steering rack on my corsa
im an ex mechanic so i know may way around cars
how big of a job is it to do and what sorta time period should it take on axle stands ?

Well how good are you and have you done it before ??? I would say not a set time cuz some bolts cud be rusty etc but wont take long if you no what your doing

depends on what rack it is, its its just a manual rack then its piss easy to get out, 5 min job, if its a hydro power one then its a fiddly job but really nothing to worry about.

sribaby as you know every car is different some steering racks u have to drop subframes etc so i just wanna know how much time to set as side for it and if theres any tricky parts , its just a manual rack so it should be easy then

5 mins todo a steering rack? you sound like the french people that make our times up at citroen.

Rack itself is only four bolts to the bulkhead, I found it easiest to release the lower mount and remove the gear linkage for more room. It's not massive on a B.

Thanks , my corsa a 1l so there's quite abit of room I will wait till a day off then give it a go
