i just took out a car on finance .. yes you do need to be fully comp to have finance and they will ask for proof... vauxhall do some good finance deals even with little as £200 deposit plus they can offer you gap insurance.. etc

Outgoings of £500 a month...
If I were you i'd look at the deals available, choose one with a monthly payment which you think you can afford, add the petrol costs (the stuff that makes the engine run) and insurance costs and subtract that from your spare £500. If it leaves you with enough money to do other things that yopur lifetsyle dictates then consider doing it.

my birds got a 1.2 sxi 08 plate corsa horrible car too drive u move the wheel about 10mm and end up in a field haha but its quick enough and once u gt used ti minute movements there great i was looking at taking one out on finance but a 1.3cdti would be my choice cheaper all round
