Definatly tell your mate what happened,this happened to me and i couldn't thank my friends enough when they told me. Worst part was i then drove 100 miles to her uni and he was there! 
So i picked up the first thing that came to hand ( from her kitchen ) which just so happened to be a meat tenderising mallet and chased him, never seen anybody run so fast

tricky one, part of me says if hes a mate tell him, he needs to know. On the flip side if she really did love him and it was a one off perhaps not worth all the heartache, depends on the people involved and the circumstance of the kiss. Is she the type to do this regular? How many problems is he going to have, does he had a joint house, car, bank accounts etc
