When i go to go on certain sites i get this message ... HTTP Error 400. The request is badly formed.
Anyone got an idea how to sort this ? would be much appreciated.

Start > Run > Type 'ipconfig /flushdns' (without quotes)

Or if you're using Vista/Win7, Start > Type 'cmd' (without quotes) in the Search Programs and Files > Command Prompt will open > Type 'ipconfig /flushdns' (without quotes)

DNS might be your issue, could always try Google's DNS or OpenDNS IPs (will require changing them in your router or in your network interface properties). AV Suites, like Norton, or Firewalls like Zonealarm can also cause HTTP 400 errors - might be worth switching off AV/Firewall, temporarily, and seeing if that improves things.

As Dom said, could be your antivirus/firewall software.

What are you running?

Sound like an issue with your ISP; could try using Google's DNS (http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/) and seeing if that helps. Might also be worth checking your ISPs status page seeing if there are any known faults on the network.

If you have access to another system then see if that also springs up the 400 error; will tell you if it's an issue with your system or ISP (/router - although you said you did a reset and it's still the same).

I get this sometimes, but it seems to be something to do with the mobile broadband I have to use at the moment as it never did it with "proper" broadband.
