do you any of you bikers use a 'Camelbak'?
if so, which one? is it just for fluid, or is there room for spares aswell?

Yep i use one. Couldnt go riding without it!
There are loads of different kinds, you can get ones which just carry 1ltr of water, and thats it. To 3 ltrs of water and 30ltrs of capacity

I have something like that, can fit 3ltrs of water, and all my spares, 2 tubes, pump, gels, etc etc

thats a bit big for me, i want 2ltrs of fluid and room for some spare tubes & pump etc

I use a camelbak Mule. Fit a tube, pump, shock pump, waterproof and other stuff in it with ease.

IMHO Mule is the ideal size. Would not use anything smaller.

As looking at these t'other day but I guess for road just a basic camel-bak without storage would be best?
Need to decide if I want a hybrid or full road bike still tho lol!

Agreed. When I was saying they aren't that big it was in response to Phils comment about it being too big. Pretty much perfect size.

What are you using the bike for?
If its just for leisure you can get a saddle bag that will hold tyre levers and inner tubes plus keys and mobile phone. Get a frame mount pump and water bottles.
No point trailing round with a camelbak on unless you are wanting it to hold perhaps your lunch if you were commuting to work?

You just want one of these saddlebags then:

Then a pump like this:

they have a little leg that folds out so you can use it as a track pump. No danger of snapping the valve and its generally so much easier. Especially with road bike tyres that need to be at a really high pressure.
I've got the slightly larger one for my mountain bike and its ace. When we're out and my mates get punctures they always want to use my pump instead of theirs
