Can't complain for the money. Way I look at it, you can't really upgrade the processor but you can the RAM and HDD

My dad's just got the RV510 a couple of weeks ago and it seems pretty decent.

Buy it. RAM and HDD doesn't cost much these days to upgrade, if you need to.
I've got a Samsung laptop myself and it's the best laptop I've ever owned! Had it about a year now.

There were first gen i3's with 4gb ram and 500gb hdd's on Dell outlet for £260-280 when I looked yesterday. Normally manage to get cashback on outlet purchasers too, which at the moment is between 7-10%.
There was also a 17" 2nd gen i5 with 6gb ram, 640gb hdd and 1gb dedicated graphics for £360ish, doubt that'll still be there though!

Admittedly it was a couple of years ago but I asked a chap who owned his own PC repair business about which laptop brands are worth buying and he told me about all the common problems he's had with various brands (mostly dodgy power supplies) and he said that he has never had a Samsung in for repair - that's definitely not a bad thing

Yeah the DC jack needs replacing/resoldering on motherboards after a while due to the running temperatures of the laptop and the lead free solder they use at the factory.
Funnily enough I've never had any customers with Samsung laptops that have had any problems either, seems to be mainly HP/Dell/Sony laptops for some reason
