iirc if you were registered before 2010 you can still do it for free, I can, but free ads are wank because they're way at the back after all the premium ones.

The cost and length of options on Ebay has always put me off
I noticed the amount of adverts has also plummetted for various cars since they introduced the new way of advertising. Maybe put fowk off but then again it might cut some of the crap that used to appear simply cause adds were free and the site was popular
