When parking in a resident permit only area, a getting ticketed, how long till they can give you another/do something more severe?

Call up, say you're unemployed and arrange a payment plan. You can pay it off £1 a week if you want.

Had a look at it, doesn't say anything on it about how long before they take further action. So I put it back on the screen

ive seen a car parked on the road outside work for about a week.
and it had 4 parking fixes slapped on the winscreen.
im assuming the wardens only came around 4 days out of the 5 that the parking restriction is in force.

every time i get a parking fine (which isnt often) , conveniently my car is parked there coz its broken down :-(
