any one no why i have to run old dizzy and why i cant use the seh dizzy ?

dont know the ins and outs but you cant.

same with c20xe, you need an old cav dizzy

I think its because the seh and xe dizzy is controlled by the ecu, whereas the old type isnt and u have no ecu when you run carbs

but then if the old coil goes on to the old dizzy how is the coil getting a spark ? im lost

Or you could buy spark only management. Fairly cheap.

IIRC its because the old 1.6 Cav dizzy is adjustable so you can adjust the spark to suit when setting up etc.

cant i use a old school nova set up like mk 1 them dizzy are the same are they not?

and so what happens my ecu is still making the coil spark then sorry if i sound "retarded" i just want to understand this bit a bit more thanks for help so far

if your running carbs you shouldnt be running your ecu or loom

Obvously you'll need a loom, but just not managment loom, bvefore you go rag it all out

This. Megajolt isn't expensive. But aye, the old cav dizzy's are adjustable.
