Having some problems with my x16xe Over the last week its been struggling to start when cold. Its doesnt take ages but longer than usual. Also its bogging down for the first 100 yards or so when first driving it cold. Today I've taken the plugs out and given them a clean up but its still the same.

You can hear it running wierd in this vid -



No EML. Its fine when its first starts, but once the choke thing goes off and the revs drop thats when its starts to idle roughly.

Any ideas guys? Cheers!

Anyone got any ideas? No bogging down when I drove it this morning but it did struggle to start again coming home from work

could be coilpack, my black corsa did it with the 1.6 and it also missed at about 5k (once warm) then stopped just after it only found out it was the coil when it died propperly

tbh could be a number of things, map sensor, cts, coil pack, crank sensor, cam sensor.

they dont always bring the eml on

is your EGR blanked? mine had similar problems which turned out to be the EGR valve sticking open

Coilpack sounds like a good shout Dan! Just done a quick search on google and the symptoms do match mine I think my mates selling one cheap too so I'll give that a try if hes still got it.

Danny the EGR is blanked off mate yeah

I did think coilpack but I would expect it to bring EML on although I know not always.

It would be worth checking sparks.

And did you connect that live?

Then yea i'd be inclinded to agree with coilpack then
