How old are you? My quote is cheaper than some friends by miles, but a couple who live in nice areas are getting £500 cheaper with crashes & points, just doesn't make sense. I could get it £400 cheaper if I registered the car at my girlfriends address, but then I'd need to change my licence to that address too, can't be bothered with all that.

After i looked at a quote for you the other day and it was a nice result i went to look at one. Just need to get my head around the running costs and i will do it. Spoke to Admiral and they want £1270 on multicar policy so even cheaper than the £1430

What age were you??? I think that's total nuts lol.
i was 20 at the time. 23 now.
but i'd rather pay £2200 for a 20k car than £2000 for a 1k car. paid £1800 for my first corsa and insurance was £1400.

Im 21 with 3 years ncb, and do live in a fairly rough area, might see how cheap it is to register at my GFs address

Guy said i will get change from £12k although its up for £12,750.00
I want it. Just swallowed hard when he said it cost over £900 for four tyres and its the running costs that are hurting. Would only keep it for two years though until my rents boots me out (again ) so only one major service and a set of tyres and then your general maintainece and consumables i guess
And in answer to the OP my brother paid £3,400 (cash and multicar discount) to insure his corsa and my other brother will be doing the same when the army put him through his test shortly.

Awesome, sounds like he's willing to take quite alot less?? Yeh I have been enquiring about tyres, about £700-900 depending on tyres, 235/35/19 & 265/30/19, not the end of the world! The guy spends £1200 on Michelin Pilot Cup Sports that I'm getting mine from lol. I'm the same, will only own it for a bit then time to go sensible and get hardcore saving for house deposit.

It's all relative to your income. If you can buy and run an m3 at 21 then £1600 isn't really alot.

I can buy and run one comfortably, because I live with my parents still so don't have many outgoings and I either walk to work or get picked up and will also have use of a van so car will be just used for my pleasure.
The insurance is easily affordable but £1800 is still a lot to pay.

Currently paying £1200 for a traders policy.
23, 2 years NCB.
£7.5k value limit, up to 8 personal cars.
I was paying £580 to insure my Corsa GSi this year, but HIC fucked me when i bought a Civic VTI so cancelled it and got a trade policy as it worked out cheaper than paying 2 lots of insurance, and its handy to have.
