Probably get more stupidity than useful info, but i've just had an email & have been invited for an interview after applying for a job. I thought i was out of the running since its been over a month since i applied.

Its for the same company but in a different dept and office. Means i wont have to work away from home since having the bairn.

Anyways. Its next fri and i have to pick the time slot. I also have to do a psychometric test, could having to pick the time slot be part of this? 9am, he's keen, 3pm, lazy sod etc?

So what should i be prepared for, what should i expect questionwise? And the psychometric test? Didnt have that when i joined, i think its things like, would you rather take a gun apart, or read a book? And would you rather sit in the corner or dance on the tables?

Ideas? Bricking it now.

think i had to do one of those in my ford interview.

i would pick an early time for the interview, and if asked question, try to portray yourself as someone who can solve problems, work alone/in teams etc and someone who wants to learn more.

I did one of these, if you have the option always take the earliest time.
You may get questions like "describe a time when you changed someones mind and how you did it"
"when you sorted a confrontation"
"how do you keep yourself calm under pressure"
"describe what your friends think of you in 3 words"
The last question there I couldn't think of a 3rd word and seen the word "positive" on a computer screen....so said that and it saved me

I hate crap like that.

When I changed someone's mind, they thought it was acceptable to shout in my classroom and I told them to shut up now.

When I sorted a confrontation, similar to above.

How do I keep calm, loaded question - I don't.

My friends think of me in three words - the weird one.

You'll get it no worries.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Those are the practice tests. I have to do verbal reasoning and numerical reasoning. Done the practice ones, hard!

I hate maths

I did those tests as well, but on the actual job interview its was a shit load easier...but did have to do an online shl test for another job which was timed and was just as hard as the practise test...fucked it up proper.

Practice ones were pretty hard, all percentages and fractions. Got to do those two before the interview, then got a psychometric test after the interview.

I already work for the company which is canny annoying!
