who told you you needed all that replacing??
don't need a new cam belt kit??? why don't you just remove the belt and give it a washin.. there no reason why you can't just remove the plastic covers and wash it off on the car... jet wash will do the trick.
don't worry about it slippin off while drivin coz their designed in such a way that the belt centers itself to prevent this.
£350!! ouch! at most all you need is a new gasket, prob about £3.50p from your local dealer... the just the fittin costs don't go to vaux!! it will cost you £350

wouldn't do any harm to get a second or third opinion... at most you will have to change the cam belt... but that would only cost £15 for a new one.
unless the roller bearings aren't noisy you won't need a a full belt and bearing kit which will be in the region of £90
you could fit it all yourself if you got a resonable bit of knowledge, it not much of a problem, you just need to make sure your cam and crank marks are all lined up proper and the belt is tensioned right.
leave it to an expert if your not confidant about doing it, coz you can fuck your engine real good and proper.
But get another opinion for sure... don't take my word as god, coz i can't see ya motor.
