came to a round about a few days ago and heard a quiet ticking tappy noise, at first i thought it was coming from the car in front but then it turned off and i thought i could still hear it but couldn't say for sure.
thought nowt of it until now when i just pulled into the drive through for a macky ds and its back, repetitive ticking... drove home all is fine, cant really hear it over the exhaust, pulled up and it sounded a tad louder in my street, lifted the bonnet and its seems like its coming from the injector area but kind of the head (cant see much in the dark but all seems fine apart from the noise)
tappets maybe?
X16XE
any help/suggestions?
cheers
Jed

Any semi-syn oil will do, better than none like it is at the moment.

That's not something I've ever heard, so I'd guess it's a myth.

He's not saying change it every 2-3 weeks Mark is saying that you need to check your oil more often, that's all.
Especially if, as per your post in the last couple of days, that you have a leak between the block and gearbox that'll be engine oil too.
