yup - very much agree with that.
400 is quick and useable. A real 600 is bonkers for pure road use

Gareth - seen a few posts myself, but its one of thosewhere im sure on a low boost ill run about 450bhp and higher boost 550-600bhp. Im gona get mine on rollers next week, but i dont feel as it is, is quick enough, it goes very well but tbh a 400bhp evo isnt all that these days imo.

Faster you go, the harder you have to brake
Get ready to eat through pads and discs.

just had to put some ds2500s on the front as i pulled the inside pad off on the drivers side last week and tweeks didnt stock pf pads going to have to decide of k sports...heard more good than bad reports or AP's, but i could buy both front and rear k sports with xp8 pads for the cost of just the front AP's:S decisions haha

We had Gen I K Sports on the front of the Skyline for 3 years - no issues. Replaced with Gen II (stronger caliper design, less flex) - no issues but Fee had her first signs of brake issues at the weekend No fade on track but a long pedal coming into the pits after second race of the day. Might be time to use decent brake fluid
Impreza has the newer 8 pots up front, and the GTR also now has K sports on the rear.
If you go for KSports whatever you do DO NOT stay with there pads - mince!
Try Carbotec XP8s instead of DS2500 - we found them very comparable and cheaper.

Ive spoke to a couple lads running circa 500-550bhp with k sports and rate them very highly, id def go for xp8 or 10's, i went withe the 2500s last week as had no car and tweeks only had the ds's in stock, bit of a bugger

.. then......
the fueling.....
the exhaust....
the clutch.....
the brakes....
decent tyres....
I'm stuck in 2 minds at the moment.
Take my Impreza to 550bhp (have to spend a lot to get it there - 5k + perhaps... and thats using the engine i'm on just now.) or just make it much lighter and stick with 400bhp for now :S

Mates just built a 2.3 evo and its made 399.5bhp on the dyno after a map but the turbo is maxed out, it got 12.9 quarter mile worth doing if you have the cash

Ill be looking at a twin plate clutch anyway, running an alcon on a fidanza currently, seems to be holding up pretty well tbh, exhaust ill be getting local lad to build a system too suit, brakes i think ill give the k sports a try.
I was tempted by a long rod 2.2 ross is doing a kit for, but got a very good price on the 2.3kit so had to be done.
Ill get some pics of evo up at weekend.

I'm using an Exedy Twin HD. Hasn't struggled yet.
Need good leg muscles, and you have to put up with the constant squawking whilst setting off at low speeds.
