Talk to me....

I know it's basically a MK4 Golf! Not a fan of 4dr cars which is putting me off! Been offered a PX with a 4Motion Bora for my GT TDi quite tempted even just for 6 months and sell it on!

I know a few have had themon here, thoughts?

First thing that springs to mind is that I think you will find it hard to sell given the current mentality of fuel guzzling Cars.

Perhaps that's why the current owner is very keen on PXing it!

ah fair enough, I've always loved them, would probably be easier to shift than the golf as its a bit more practical and they always seem to hold their value really well

I disagree, i think being the V6 4 Motion it will be hard to shift. The prices for them are always crazy low now. TDi would be a different Story.

You'll shift it, I wouldn't worry. You can shift anything on ebay, even cars with big petrol engines

Would it make a difference if it's a fully spec'd 4Motion with an R32 conversion?!

4 doors = harder to sell than the Golf
thirsty petrol engine = harder to sell than the Golf
Engine converted car = harder to sell than the Golf
Haldex = not 4wd.

in short, I think the Golf is a better proposition for resale

Some choice modifications on it will make it more desirable. Bora's are quite rare with the nicer engines anyway (i know, i wanted one!), so if you make yours a little more special you won't have a problem moving it on.

Don't bother with converting it engine wise, R32 interior would be a bit special though

It already has R32 engine, brakes etc. Only thing putting me off is its a Bora and 4dr!
