I know it's obvious, but to those who haven't noticed, scammers use the o2 top up as a verification that they have working details before raping your account with a much larger purchase...

its so easy to do, I had an o2 pre pay from slough took out of mine a few months ago. whats the best way to prevent this shit? I try to change my pin every week if I can, also I dont think Ive ever had a card swiped for me at a petrol station? I only use Shell anyway if possible

I do try I have to go to the bank every friday to cash up anyway so I do it outside while Im there. only takes a min
Im glad I do now with the amount of petrol stations I visit

Thats crazy! my mate got his card details stolen over that whole PS3 hack thing, he refuses to make any cash withdraws from ATM's and won't type his details online at all :L
