Ive been reading up on the 2012 mot changes. Dont know what to believe tbh.

Im putting a nova gte engine in my car now which doesnt run a cat, but in all the sites ive looked at it says that cars post 1992 must have a cat regardless of emissions, so does that mean my 1998 corsa would fail with the 1989 engine in? Or will the test still be on the engine not the year of the car its in.
