I need to get myself a cheap little run about, i've found a £500 306 diesel that would do the job but directline want nearly £800 to insure the bloody thing !!



Wtf is going on ?? Thats more than we pay on our ST..........

Anything to do with how cheap the car is or has insurance really gone up that much ??

directline are shit. quoted me 3.5k for my 206 1.9D

No it wasn't even a td lol, I'll try confused.com tomorrow but in the past they have always been really expensive for us..

Direct line dont half bang out some shit quotes. 1.5k to insure a 1.2 clio for me....hows about no?

Admiral have been giving me some really good quotes lately though. Might be worth giving them a try

Bell, Admiral, and Elephant are all same company. I am with Bell second year running. Insured a 323i BMW for 1k at 20 y/o. Paid 930ish for the 530D a month ago. No one even got close to that!

With them adding your parents are additional drivers makes premium go down alot!

I refuse to pay £800 insurance on a car worth 2k (Corsa 1.8 SRi) when my Golf 1.4 TSI worth around 9.5k costs me £600.

Insurance is just stupid! Work pay £500 to insure what was my brand new Fiesta that anyone can drive with unlimited mileage.
