I'm planning on having a weekend in edinburgh in December, can anybody recommend a nice hotel? Not to bothered about price and prefer minimum 4 star.
Also any guide to the best places to visit and decent eateries would be appreciated.

Radisson is quite good, although there's is hundreds of other hotels right around the royal mile and princess st. The main streets. The ones near waverley train station should have a view of the castle. And are two mins from the station.

Dont know but dont stay at a place called Edinburgh City Apartments, there fucking dicks!!!!!
Jurys inn would probably be my choice for Hotel, or Park Inn/Radisson.

Jurys inn doesn't look like much from the outside and on second thoughts stay qway from waverley as were blasting the station round the clock so its loud.

Ah, ive never stayed in the Edinburgh Jurys, but have in Glasgow & Aberdeen & they were spot on!

Stayed in one in newcastle I think it was. Was quite nice iirc.

Radison Blu on the Royal Mile is pretty well located on not that expensive either mate. We have our xmas party there on the 3rd December. Book then and come along 
Disco Inferno theme though

Can also vouch for the Radisson Blu, not amazing just nice and a good little location. Stayed at the Thistle before too and that was also ok. Hotels.com are giving 10% off at the mo plus if you use quidco.com you'll end up saving around 20% off the price.
