Changed the leads and spark plugs on my beetle there now after it wasnt going right and only running on off a cylinder, it's spluttering
and back firing and cuts out when idiling(wasn't doing this before :S )

any ideas?

first thought would be are you certain the leads are connected to the right cylinderas a simple mix up could cause that, also did you check the plug gaps of the new plugs ? i know they are supposed to be pre set but i wouldnt rely on it

100% sure that all the leads are right because I took on off and put a new one on.

Never checked the gaps although I do have another full set so it wouldn't be to hard to change one.
