Reverse lights have stopped wrking can't see why I had rear lexus lights on and changed them for standard now I can't get my reverse lights to come on the lights I swapped them for came off a car and they were fully working before hand it would be the gearbox switch would it? Do they just stop working like that,

All other bulbs work in the lights indicator, fogs, stop and tail
Any other ideas

I've had a switch just suddenly die on me in the past so it could be that.

Have you checked the fuses and that? Also there is a switch on the front of the gearbox, you can get to it from below.

Yeah checked fuses there all fine, the switch is on the top of my gearbox at front

Could possibly be the switch then, not sure how much a new one is but shouldn't be a lot.

take the plug off the switch and put a paper clip across the terminals and they should work if not its not the switch
