aye, when i sold my old astra, the lad who bought it for his mrs turned up in a carabic blue sri 8v, think he was from Darlington area and he mentioned that he was just cleaning it up to sell on... looked spotless for a L reg iirc. said he only paid 200 for it and hes got a lot of interest at 500.
im not sure if it stayed in the NE area but had a quick look at it and it didnt look like scrap yard material.
also think that johnredtop lad on nemm has a xe one in black

I was searching a while back aswell for a original 8v. Couldn't find any they were all 16v sris. My mate bought a 8v 3 year ago. Fucking loved it ! Hg blew and he sold it to dan H off here for 200

iv always had a thing for a black sri

know what you mean though jordan, just done a quick search there and theres nowt left but scrap or problems waiting for scrap
