Just accepted an offer for a garage we have (large single, no power - decent roof storage) which led to digging out the deeds etc. I bought it from my folks in 2008 for £8000.
They paid £2700 for it in 2001!!!!
We sold it for £12500
Almost 500% price increase in 10years! Crazy
Surveyor thought we could get about £50k for the one we've just built!

Would imagine if you didn't sell garage with the flat it could put off potential buyers - not knowing who is going to own the garage at bottom of garden etc. Potential noise too.
