Had a coolant flange go earlier in a weird fashion





Any ideas why it would of gone like this?

Thats not a flange, it'll be a flaw in the cast

It's a random failure. As long as the car was running ok before I'd just replace it and see how it goes. If it was caused by pressure in the system you should have had some other symptoms.
