previous accident damage, fake mileage.... all the usual

good thing is though, no need to let a petty broken part put you off as spares are everywhere

More doors don't generally get pillar cracks as a 3 door would.

Most telling place for a car of that age is the MOT advisory from the previous test, if that isn't available get the numbers of the reg doc and check it online. Link in Tut&FAQ.

Front crossmember, bottom of front chassis legs, bonnet edges, rear arch lips, sills inner and outer, floors, bulkhead, rear wheel well rear chassis legs, rear pannel (under the rear bumper), these cars rust quite well there gettin on a bit now even the newest of the 'B's just go for a solid base better off with a shell thats solid, some times older ones can be in better condition than newer and vice versa, just depends how well they have been looked after
