see = Telegraph motoring

and it lists the top 10 manufactures who have the least number of suspension based warrenty claims

1 Honda
2 Toyota
3 Hyundia
4 Nissan
5 Kia
6 Mitsubishi
7 Mini
8 Suzuki
9 Ford
10 Mazda

8 of the top 10 are Japanese, the top 6 uniquely so.....as i flicked through the article i was surprised As the trend i was seeing, no French manufacturers, particularly Citroen who are known for ride comfort, and no German manufacturers either!

edit: more detail from article

quote:
a study into which car manufacture deal best with potholed roads measured by the smallest number of claims for suspension-related repairs under warranty according to research carried out by the website Potholes.co.uk, which analysed about 150,000 policies issued by Warranty Direct over three years to reveal the cars most and least susceptible to damage caused by the nation's biggest bugbear – potholes

is it a percentage of no's sold in UK or simply No of failures?

If that later that may explain why things like vaux and volks are not in the top ten as they have simply sold more than Suzuki/kai etc (in the UK)

Most of those cars are the small cheap granny wagons, driven around really slowly or round towns.

Rich folk in rural areas have german cars and potholes.
