Time to get rid of me sport and my mate has a 1999 206 1.9 diesel for sale, so we're gonna do some sort of deal.
He wants £850 for it. Seem a fair price? Just wondering what they're like to live with? Reliable? Common faults etc? Thanks

I know they're slow but I don't really care. I just need a cheap car to run.

as Alun just said mate. I wouldn't Bother, much better diesels out there for the money.
They're crap on diesel because you have to work it so hard to keep up with traffic. Worse car I've ever driven.
Mine was a 1999 too.
Tax is £200!
I sold mine within 3 weeks of having it.
Buy something else mate. That's my advice.
