NVQ Level 3 is the level I studied while on the spanners at Vauxhall. Im Studying Level 6 now doing engineering at Uni. An awesome opportunity never the less, but I can imagine the number of applicants will be sky high. I applied for a graduate scheme with a well known car manufacturer and I am one of just under 14,000 who applied... Thats my hopes knocked a bit!

Tempting, I might stick an application to see what happens but I'm already level 3 in motor vehicle and practically a year in to my engineering degree so it would be purely for the experience.

They won't be wanting somebody on for the experience, they'll want an actual apprentice that they can train up.

Well obviously I wouldn't put on the application "should I be successful in gaining a place, I'll be leaving after 12 months to return to Uni"

Hey Dom - I work with these guys and wanted to say two things.
1. Thanks for sharing the apprenticeship opportunity somewhere useful!
2. The annual salary for each position is from £9,500, depending on experience
To anyone else mildly interested, I think the training runs for 3 years, so it'd look pretty good on a CV, even if they didn't go back to university. But don't take that as 'official career advice'...
Let me know if you have any more questions.
