Cancelled due to noise complaints.

http://www.awesomefest.co.uk/

People who live near a track shouldn't be alowed to complain about noise

+1, that is of course unless the track is newer than when you moved in

Where I lived was in the village where Santa pod is. Whilst I never complained it was noisy and pretty much ever weekend you could hear cars or bikes.

Its not do much the car track noise but the music that goes onto a very early hour and also the traffic noise. I used to have cars sitting out side my house at around 2-3am with loud exhaust and talking. Did soon get annoying. Also the litter is unreal of people leaving and coming to there. Santa pod now employ people just to pick litter in the local village.

It's a shame that people complain but it's not just the track noise.

Yeah same I gave it a miss last year as wasn't sure what it would be like, gutted I didn't go and it's such a shame it's now been cancelled this year, from the video and what I heard the show had a lot going for it.

Yeah I do like his work, he's got some more good films from the BDC last year

A few mates who went said it was one of the best shows they'd been too, massive shame. Hate it when people close to a track moan, if they've been there longer then fair enough but 90% won't have been.

read that about croft, couple miles from me

also remember the people who took croft to court did so asfter they get refussed planning permission to build sa hotel on their land to cash in on the track being so close, and one was married to the owner before

People are very inconsiderate like that, they wouldn't stay outside their own house to 2/3am with mates making noise so why do it to other people, very frustrating not being able to sleep even if it's just at the weekend.

People seem to think it's just exhaust noise but it's not.

Wonder why they just didn't pick another track? Donington for example?

they hold the moto-x events at awesomefest and mallory already have a dirt track built there.
they also had public track sessions last year at awesomefest, i dont think it would be so easy to persuade donington to allow arive and drive public sessions.

Its ridiculous, just as the guy was telling my mate off for noise a plane flew over and they had to stop talking while it was there.
