Played airsoft yesterday. lots of crouching, running, ducking and throwing myself into puddles..
top day out, adrenaline kept me going all day. now my legs feel like they want to burst (quads more than anything).

apart from manning up, whats good for relief?

no, went out, ran around, came back to the safe zone and tryed catching my breath... end of the day i just wanted to get out of mud soaked overalls and into a warm car as quick as possible. after the drive home i could hardly press my clutch

Warming down (however uncool it looks) would have helped you a great deal. I can only suggest seeing if someone can massage you.

I'm struggling to move at the mo from 2days of gym and an afternoon of pushing a 4ft snowball around.

Only thing I've found that ever helps having a good sleep to let your body concentrate on repairing, also try to take in a lot of protein until it wears off....scrambled eggs, tuna sandwich, chicken for dinner etc.
