had the other shaft out as it had some play in it and re-fitted the retaining circlip as advised

castle nut tight? tie bars bolted on right and tight? gear box mount not broke or got to much play in it? check rubbers or just give it to a real mechanic ?

Driveshafts are meant to have 'in and out' play, this makes them able to deal with bumps. There was no need to remove then re-fit that driveshaft

when everythings done up there shouldnt be that much play, maybe a few mm the offside shaft will have no play in it when the support bearing bracket is done up

any large amount could result in the joiny popping out, in that pic joint has failed or popped out

has the car been lowered out of interest

Joint seemed ok when I ripped off the cv boot

Lowered 40mm on the front

Going to get a new ns shaft


With regards to the movement in the other it was 2-3 mm and the other one was solid checked qnother car and both were solid so presumed that one was the issue then after braking down again this shaft was all twisted on the inner

got a new shaft for £25 this after noon, will fit it wednesday

if it breaks down it might be set on fire
