I've got one, getting it mapped on Saturday.

You can get more than 170 out of the standard turbo, but I'm planning to keep mine around 160-165 post map. More important is the torque if you're sticking with the standard clutch though - about 300 lb ft is the limit on them, depending on how you drive it.

Isn't a 55 plate going to be the 'old' shape Fabia (which is a manual)?

looking into these as my next car. My mate had one and it was pritty quick for standard. The MPG off it was amazing also. It would have to be in red for me

Don't get the forge cooler, get the Seat Sport one.

Talking proper figures, a stage 1 map (no other mods) will see about 160-170bhp with 300lb/ft. Stage 2 (exhaust, FMIC and clutch) will push a little more to about 185bhp tops and 330ish lb/ft. 190 (genuine) bhp kills turbos like no tomorrow. So much bull shit on the net about the VAG 1.9 engine, gotta be careful who you speak to. A lot of people can't map these properly either, just have a massive lump of torque before 2500rpm and fuck all after then.

If you want fast, buy a petrol.

If you want MPG, buy a diesel or a Micra.

Yeah they are mate. I haven't heard of any new models being diesel. But I may be wrong.
