So eml came on today, so Plugged in my obd and got fault code 55 Engine Control Unit (ECU) fault Renew Engine Control Unit (ECU)
Has anyone else had this ? (1990 c20xe)

Guessing I do need a new ecu ?

Does the car run ok?

Pull the battery off for an hour to clear the codes. See if it keeps coming back.

But yes, it does suggest you need a new ecu. Dot worry though, theres no immobiliser issues with these, just plug another one in and you're away.
